With the help of a couple of friends SportingConnections was publically launched at the Noosa Triathlon. We spent the day handing out flyers, chatting to hundreds of people and basically letting everyone know that we are here and we are going to be growing rapidly.  

On the launch weekend we bypassed the 250 user mark and looking back today, a week later, that seems like years ago. As I write this article we are moving rapidly toward 500 users with 486 sports men and women signed up from around the world and more signing up every day. We are hoping that as people start to tell their friends and family about the site our global sports network will start to take off and no matter where you are in the world you will be able to find people to play sport with.
