| About | The Flyers Track Club, Inc. is a nonprofit youth amateur sports organization that provides youth an opportunity to participate in an organized Track & Field developmental program. The Club was founded by the President, Kenneth D. Ferguson in 1990. The Club was granted tax exempt status as a Section 501(c)(3) Qualified Amateur Sports Organization on September 23, 1993.
The Club's members participate in two types of summer track & field meets. The first is through both USA Track & Field National Junior Olympics Summer Competition. USA Track & Field (USAF) is recognized by the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) as the National Governing Body for track & field in the United States. The team also participates in the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Summer National Junior Olympic Competition. Competition for each national championship begins with local, district, state and regional competitions. Each year over seven thousand athletes participate nationally in each Junior Olympics National Championship.
Members of the Flyers Track Club train all year, beginning in the fall of each year an continuing throughout winter, spring and summer. Our indoor training is conducted at Prarrie Life Center, 103rd & Berkley, one block east of Metcalf on 103rd in Overland Park, Kansas. The training programs of the Flyers Track Club includes aerobic, anaerobic conditioning and strength endurance training.
Outdoor summer practice for pre-high school participants begins in March of each year. High School team members who are competing in high school track & field will begin training training with the Flyers Track Club after they have compeleted their high school season. Since Summer Junior Olympic Track & Field competition begins the first week of June, high school athletes are encourage to contact us early to learn what steps they must take to participate in the first Summer Junior Olympic Track & Field Meet. Athletes must compete in the first Junior Olympic Track Meet to qualify for each National Championships.

The Flyers Track Club, Inc. is a track club that focuses on developing our athletes for the next level of competition. If you are in high school we work with your high school coaches to prepare you for a collegiate career, whether it be in track, football, soccer or any other sport. We work closely with our high school team member to be sure they understand the NCAA’s academic and athletic standards for award of an athletic scholarships. All of our athlete train for the highest level of competition.
