Hey guys and gals
Talk about a reminder that I'm no spring chicken; I went to Noosa on my rest weekend with Benda for
a mountain bike ride followed by a couple of nights of serious boozing (talking the kind that leaves
you on your knees at 5am Mon morning adding nutrients to the flowerbed). That was two weekends ago
and this morning on the way to work was the first time I have felt decent in 8 days!!! I had to take
two days off work last week (Monday and Friday) just to sleep! I went out Sat to do 80km and was
home after 35km to sleep for 3 hours, had a good couple of hours Mountain biking with friends on
Sunday (great for leg speed and spinning) and slept for 3 hours afterwards.. you get the picture.
Anyway, was in bed by 8pm last night and slept til 7 this morning and finally feel good again, great
speed session on the highway to work this morning and a fast run tonight.
Moral of the story is don't drink yourself to a standstill two days in a row on a rest week after
not drinking at all for 4 months!
Hope you are all fit, well and able to handle your alcohol better than me
Cheers
Oscar

Hello back from your not so furry friend!
Can't say i've been doing anywhere near the amount of Km's you've been peddling... something about
my job just hasn't been conducive to a life the last few weeks - may have been the 12-20 hr shifts i
was working. Happy to say i managed to escape to the sunny coast for a day to recoup though. So got
a great ride to Coolum on wednesday. The weather may not have been as gorgeous as mon or tues, and i
may have gotten a little rained on but it felt great to be out there. I'm actually surprised at how
good my legs felt. Though for sure with how exhausting my schedule has been that they'd be dead -
but happy to say i was wrong. Also managed a quick cycle around Brisbane yesterday before heading
back to work today. On 12 hr shifts all weekend, so will have to settle the turbo.

On another note I am psyched about the team kit, we are going to look flash.

Happy peddling!

Helloooo my furry friends
I can't believe how fast another rest week has swung around and just how much I need it. I clocked
up just over 600km on the bike over the past 3 weeks and I am feeling it! The funny thing is that
the training was going really well and on track until I did that short TT and a couple of runs and I
felt shagged ever since. I had to take Mon off and rest week started yesterday... full day off today
as well and back in the gym tomorrow and some Mountain biking on the weekend. Looking at posting
just over 800kms in the next 4 week block as well as starting to increase the running and pumping
some heavier weights.

New kit is nearly finalised now and we are going to have a training weekend up here on the Sunshine
Coast once it arrives which should be fantastic fun and a good chance for the team to ride together
all kitted out.

In fitness and in health
Toodles
Oscar

Hi all
Well it's been a pretty tough week of training this week after the TT on Sunday. Have ridden
(including this morning) 45kms 4 days this week with normal day off Wed. Had to miss gym on Monday
as too tired from TT; did my first 10min run off the bike on Tuesday and have been hobbling around
until today... no matter how much fitter you get for cycling, it doesn't seem to help the running,
it's always just bloody hard work for me!

Had a great gym session last night and have started taking Creatine to see if it has any effect on
leg strength in the gym. Last time I took it (10 years ago) I had huge increases in strength so will
see if this is the same.

Tried on the new kit last night and it seems REALLY good quality and good fit so excited about
getting it made up now.

Hope you are all fit, healthy and happy
Cheers
Oscar
