Aussies prepare for pre-Test hit-out

Australia's first and only serious hit-out before their Test match showdown with India begins on Thursday in Hyderabad against the Board President's XI.
The local side includes S Badrinath, named in the Indian squad for next week's first Test in Bangalore, and it is likely his fortunes in this match will determine whether he or Sourav Ganguly will fill the No.6 batting spot.
Ganguly was the most talked about inclusion in the 15-man squad, which also features fit-again Sachin Tendulkar, human headline Harbhajan Singh and promising young paceman Ishant Sharma.
Doubts still surround the composition of the Australian team for Thursday's match, with much depending on how allrounder Shane Watson manages to shake-off a virus that laid him low at the team hotel on Wednesday.
Coach Tim Nielsen had said he wanted the team for this week to be as close as possible to the line-up chosen for the first Test.
Injured legspinner Bryce McGain remains part of the Australian camp but will not be eligible for selection for at least another two weeks due to the re-aggravation of a shoulder strain.
Board President's XI squad: Yuvraj Singh (captain), Aakash Chopra, S Badrinath, Wasim Jaffer, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Parthiv Patel, Irfan Pathan, Piyush Chawla, Pragyan Ojha, Pankaj Singh, Manpreet Gony, Yogesh Takawale, Rakesh Dhurv.
Australian squad: Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Clarke, Doug Bollinger, Stuart Clark, Brad Haddin, Matthew Hayden, Michael Hussey, Phil Jaques, Mitchell Johnson, Simon Katich, Jason Krejza, Brett Lee, Bryce McGain, Peter Siddle, Shane Watson.
