Tennis v Badminton
by papillon 3 Months, 1 Week ago
I have just tried my hand (literally) at playing badminton and my wrist has been understandably sore for a while but doesn't seem to be improving. I've been told that I can't expect to play serious tennis and badminton because my wrist will get damaged over a period of time and I must choose between one or the other - very disappointing!

Wow, that's bad news. I might suggest that you go and see a physio before making that decision as there is a fair amount that they can do just with strapping nowadays.
Badminton really relies on flicking your wrist so I would imagine it would take a fair amount of strain while playing while tennis has a firmer wrist action and I would imagine may cause less aggravation. Good luck and I hope your physio finds some good exercises to get around the problem

Thanks Oscar for your help, much appreciated! Did you watch Gasquet v Haas yesterday, nail biting match, one where you don't want either of them to lose.Would much prefer playing though than being a "couch watcher". Can't wait for the shoulder to heal!
