The popularity of this event continues to grow year after year. But hey, when you do things like completely shutting down the I-90 express lanes just to give athletes the unique chance to bike across the floating bridge...why wouldn't you do this event!?!! Sign up early! No wait lists or late entries once the event sells out! DESCRIPTION ~ 1/2m swim ~ 12m bike ~ 2.5m run Mercer Island, Washington, sets the stage for this beautiful course. You'll begin with a half-mile swim in Lake Washington at Luther Burbank Park. Then gear up for an 12-mile out-and-back bike ride in the closed-to-traffic express lanes of I-90 - You read correctly... We shut down an entire freeway just for this event! Finally, limber up your running legs for a 2.5-mile run along the jog path through beautiful Mercer Island. It's just beautiful this time of year! |
